Fifteen years ago, EV Connect was founded on a bold vision: to build a better planet by enabling electricity as a fuel. At the time, the electric vehicle (EV) industry was just emerging, and we knew we were in for a transformative journey as the sector rapidly evolved. Sure enough, as the industry grew and changed, so did our products–constantly expanding our capabilities to meet the evolving needs of drivers, businesses, our partners, and the growing need to reduce tailpipe emissions.
Little did we know back then that we would eventually claim the distinction of being one of the longest-standing players in the EV charging space – a testament to the resilience and unwavering commitment of the EV Connect team and their mission to be the world's leading cloud platform for managing electricity as a fuel.

From our inception, we have positioned ourselves as a software-centric company, recognizing that adaptable, intelligent systems are the key to revolutionizing the EV charging landscape. Our platform's ability to adapt over the last decade and a half has been paramount, especially as EV charging has evolved from a specialty service to a modern amenity that countless sectors are eagerly embracing. As such, we’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most prominent names in the hospitality, dealership, food and beverage, and transportation industries, including bp, Marriott, and Evie. These collaborations have been pivotal to our growth and have helped us innovate, offer reliable solutions to our customers, and deliver an exceptional charging experience to EV drivers worldwide. By aligning ourselves with industry leaders who share our vision of a sustainable future for mobility, we have been able to amplify our impact and drive meaningful change.
The benefits of our efforts are visible in the positive effect we've had on the environment. Since our launch in 2009, EV Connect technology has supported an astounding 4.2 billion electric miles for EV drivers globally. This remarkable effort has helped prevent nearly 1 million kilograms of greenhouse gasses from entering the atmosphere—a contribution equivalent to planting 25 million trees. These statistics are a testament to the real-world impact we've had in accelerating the adoption of EVs and championing a cleaner, more sustainable transportation ecosystem.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the unwavering support of others. In 2022, EV Connect was acquired by Schneider Electric, a global leader in sustainability and e-mobility. This strategic partnership has been instrumental in enabling us to accelerate our growth and solidify our position as a leader in EV charging. Bolstered by Schneider's reach and expertise, we've expanded our offerings, strengthened our technology, and deepened our commitment to driving widespread EV adoption. This acquisition has propelled us forward over the past two years.
This support also includes the dedication and tireless efforts of our employees, who have been the foundation of EV Connect's remarkable growth and success. As the EV industry has surged over the past 15 years, our workforce has not only expanded in numbers but has also grown exponentially in the depth and breadth of its collective capabilities. To continue fostering this environment, we have implemented comprehensive programs, such as our "Continued Education" initiative, which provides our team with the resources and support to pursue higher education, additional certifications, and other learning opportunities. By empowering our employees to expand their knowledge and skills, we are investing in their futures and solidifying what makes EV Connect most successful.
A Personal Perspective
While I have only been a part of the EV Connect journey for a short time, it has been one of the most rewarding career experiences I've had thus far. When I accepted this role as COO earlier this year after working at Schneider Electric, I understood the weight of the responsibility before me – to captain this company through its next chapter of transformation and growth, all while honoring the remarkable 15-year legacy we've built. The past 90 days have been an enriching journey as I have immersed myself in learning more about the growing EV industry, operationalizing new ways EV Connect can partner in this growth, and growing our incredible and passionate team of ‘EVCers’.
As we commemorate this milestone for EV Connect, I’m also celebrating a profoundly personal event: the birth of my daughter this month. As a new father, the importance of sustainability and the role of EVs in shaping a better future have taken on an even more personal significance. My vision for EV Connect is not just about continuing to build a successful business but about making a lasting, positive impact on the world that my daughter – and children worldwide – will inherit.
