EV Connect’s roaming feature offers EV drivers a simplified charging experience by giving access through the convenience of more charging station access regardless of the mobile app, vehicle, or credential use.

Yes. While roaming on ChargePoint and Shell Recharge stations, you can easily pay through the EV Connect app. Credit card readers are also available at some partner station locations (and fees may vary).

To see roaming stations, ensure that you turn on the ‘Include roaming stations’ filter in the map view on your EV Connect app. Roaming stations are denoted by unique colored tags based on the particular network.

To begin a charging session, you can use the same process you use to start charging at the EV Connect stations. Scan the station’s QR code or find the station on the map, click the connector you have plugged into, and select the ‘Begin Charge’ button.

The cost of charging at a roaming station is set by the roaming partner. We do not add any additional fees to use the roaming station.

The cost of charging at an EV Connect station is based on the pricing set up by the EV Connection station owner. Partners ultimately control any additional fees of roaming, but as of today all roaming transactions do not have additional fees beyond the standard station price.
