What is the SCIP Program About?

Dominion Energy is offering the Smart Charging Infrastructure Pilot Program to incentivize the installation of EV charging equipment for multifamily dwellings, workplaces, and public DCFC sites. The goal of the program is to support EV adoption in Virginia by offering rebates to offset equipment and installation costs associated with EV charging stations.

The SCIP Program provides rebates for qualifying EV charging stations, charging infrastructure and installation, commonly referred to as “make-ready,” and network fees with amounts ranging up-to a total of $15,000 - $109,000.

- A minimum of 2 connectors per site in Multifamily and Workplace properties must be installed to qualify for funding
- A minimum of 4 connectors per site for DCFC and Transit must be installed to qualify for funding.
Eligible locations include: Multifamily properties, Workplace, DC Fast Charging, and Transit
