What is the Xcel Energy Commercial EV Program
Xcel Energy is offering rebates to Fleet, Workplace, Public Charging, Community Charging, and Multifamily properties to reduce the upfront costs for installing EV charging under the Commercial EV Program. As part of its sustainability mission, Xcel Energy aims to replace 20% of the vehicles in their service territories with electric vehicles and power 1.5 million electric vehicles by 2030. Xcel Energy’s Commercial EV Program is available for all Xcel Energy business electric service customers.
What are the Rebate Amounts?
100% of make-ready infrastructure costs are covered under the program projects located in Workplace, Fleet, Public, and Multifamily properties (i.e. electric Infrastructure required to make a site ready to accept an EV charger, it may include conductors, trenching, and panels). However, if your property is a small business and is installing a maximum of 3 ports, you’ll receive up to $2,500 per port for EV supply infrastructure.

Income Qualified and HEC Rebate*: Receive up to $2,200 when installing a Level 2 port or $45,000 when installing a DC fast charger port to help cover the cost of chargers.

Income Qualified and HEC Rebate*: Receive up to $800 per port when participating in the Assigned Parking program or $2,200 per port when participating in the Shared Parking program to help cover the cost of chargers
New Construction Rebate: Receive up to $2,000 per port for all costs to install EV charging above and beyond code requirement to help cover the cost of wiring and chargers

Standard Rebate: Receive up to $2500 per port for sites with 3 or fewer ports and a meter with less than 50 kW of existing demand to help cover the cost of wiring
Income Qualified and HEC Rebate: Receive up to $2000 per port on top of the standard rebate to help cover the cost of chargers

Income Qualified and HEC Rebate*: Receive up to $8,800 when you install four Level 2 chargers (minimum is 4 ports), and up to $31,200 when you install a DC fast charger port. Helps to cover the cost of chargers
What are the Program Requirements?
Eligible locations Include: Multifamily properties, Businesses, and communities. Additionally, they must be business electric customers of Xcel Energy in Colorado.
